•12 & 13 December 2006: 3rd Steering Committee of Project OMEDITOUD, organized by Parco dell' Asinara, Sardinia, Italy - the project “Mediterranean Observatory for Sustainable Tourism” meets for its third Steering Committee in Sardinia, organized by the partner Parco dell' Asinara. In the Technical Meeting it will be assessed the results of the accomplished Actions and detailed directions will be given by the scientific coordinator (University of Aegean, partner) regarding the work of the Actions which follow. Moreover, the Steering Committee will deal with the planning of the next actions of publicity of the project. Approval for the demand of modification is another subject in the meeting’s agenda.

• 24 July 2006: Notification of modification of the budget of project “OMEDITOUD” ref. 2004-04-4.2-G-086 - Interreg III-B “MEDOCC”: We inform you that the Single Authority of Management took into account your request for modification of the 13 July 2006. The modification changes do not affect the total amount of the budget nor the distribution of the resources by headings of expenditure. Therefore an official approval by the Committee of Programming was not necessary. 

• July 2006: Cultural event organized by ADRAL S.A. under the Action 5.1.of the project.

• 18 & 19 May 2006: 2nd Steering Committee of the Project OMEDITOUD, Huelva, Spain - the project “Mediterranean Observatory for Sustainable Tourism” meets for its second Steering Committee in Spain. Within this second Technical Meeting took place an assessment of the results of the Actions of the first phase of the project and were given detailed directions by the scientific coordinator (University of Aegean, partner) on the work of next actions. Moreover, the Steering Committee planned for the next actions of communication and publicity of the project and mainly for the web site of the project which first appeared since last month (under construction) with the URL: www.omeditoud.org. The demand of FEDER refunding is another subject in the meeting’s agenda. 

• 28 March 2006: Aroche celebrated una jornada sober desarrollo y turismo sostenible in Huelva. The localidad of Aroche (Huelva) ha acogido the jornada “Huelva the luz. Sostenible Turismo y desarrollo” that, enmarcada in los proyectos comunitarios “Omeditoud” y “Agate”, holds como objetivo informar y sensibilizar sober el desarrollo sostenible in the provincia of Huelva, as? como presentar iniciativas that in esta materia est?n desarrollando in the Sierra of Huelva. In este sentido, el diputado LED ?rea of Desarrollo Local of Diputaci?n de Huelva, Manuel Guerra, junto Al alcalde of Aroche, Jos? Antonio Mu?iz, inaugur? the jornada, that ha contado idiot the presencia of destacados agentes institucionales y LED sector empresarial relacionados idiot el turismo sostenible in the provincia of Huelva. • 10 March 2006: Conference intern for project OMEDITOUD under the title “Construction of Capacity”: A conference intern for project OMEDITOUD was carried out, organized by the Company of Development of Grevena (Lead partner) with the assistance of the University of Aegean (scientific co-ordinating, partner) under the title “Construction of Capacity”. This conference which took place in “Mediterranean Palace” Hotel of Thessaloniki had the aim to train the partners of the project on the subject of Sustainable Tourism. Training will also take place to each partner’s country and will be directed to individuals of their area who are engaged with the sector of Tourism, on subjects of Sustainability.

OMEDITOUD, by the University of Aegean, “Research Protocol” and vast Information on future subjects such as management and communication of the project as those were presented in the seminar for the Lead partners which took place in Rome 28 and 29 September 2005.
